Bruske Products of Tinley Park, IL began in 1972. The company was little more than a gleam in the company owner's eye and an address on the United Parcel Service delivery route. Originally housed in a dilapidated old factory building behind an auto parts store in suburban Chicago, the new company at first survived on wishful thinking and making metal book binders on 50-year-old screw machines acquired from the building's original owner.
After a couple of moves to accomodate sales growth, the company is now housed in a 30,000-square-foot facility built in 1986. The company now counts almost 90 percent of the Fortune 500 among its 50,000 customers.
Bruske Products has been able to establish a niche in the marketplace because of the unique Bruske Brush that served as the impetus for the company's creation. Bruske Products then expanded into other markets such as replacements for power sweeper brushes which are made for all the different models and makes of machinery, In addition, Bruske Products has moved into the chemical side of the business with innovative products such as Blot-It&trade and Release Degrease&trade.
